Cargometer proudly announces its upcoming 10-year anniversary as a driving force in revolutionizing freight dimensioning. Since its founding in 2013, Cargometer has been at the forefront of cutting-edge computer vision technology, delivering advanced measurement systems that enhance efficiency and accuracy in logistics processes.
From its beginnings as a collection of ideas by Michael Baumgartner in 2010, Cargometer swiftly evolved into a GmbH in 2014 and secured both EU and US patents in 2014 and 2016, respectively.
In 2017, Cargometer achieved a significant breakthrough by deploying its first Cargometer Dimension-in-Motion and Weigh-in-Motion systems, marking a new era in freight dimensioning. These pioneering systems introduced the ability to accurately measure cargo and weight “on-the-fly” during forklift transport, eliminating disruptions to existing logistics processes.
Cargometer’s relentless pursuit of excellence and groundbreaking technology has garnered recognition from esteemed industry bodies. In 2016, the company was honored with the Logistics Start-up of the Year award. Subsequently, Cargometer was nominated for the prestigious Austrian Mobility Award in 2017, solidifying its reputation as an innovative leader in digitization. The company’s commitment to excellence was further validated when it received the coveted IFOY Award in 2019 and continued to accumulate numerous accolades in subsequent years.
Continuing its trajectory of growth and expansion, Cargometer forged a strategic sales partnership with Toyota Tsusho in the Asia region in 2021.
Cargometer expanded its portfolio in 2022 with the launch of its first Scan-in-Motion systems. These state-of-the-art systems employ advanced bar code scanning technology, allowing for seamless cargo identification during volume and weight measurement.
Dynamic freight dimensioning lies at the core of Cargometer’s transformative solutions. By accurately measuring the dimensions and weight of cargo during forklift transport, Cargometer enables customers to optimize their network planning, routing, and invoicing processes. This breakthrough technology empowers organizations to streamline their supply chain operations, minimize errors, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
As Cargometer approaches its 10-year milestone, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our loyal customers for their unwavering support and partnership on this transformative journey.
